How do I make my Design Center appointments?

Your Sales Counselor will make your first appointment when you complete your contract. The second and third appointments will be scheduled after your mortgage commitment letter is complete.

What can I expect to happen at the Design Center?

The personalization of your new home will be accomplished during the following 3 appointments at the Design Center.

Appointment #2

During this meeting with your Design Center Consultant, you will confirm and review colors and pricebook items as they relate to the construction stages. You will also be given the opportunity to meet with a structured wiring specialist to discuss the many wiring options, including surround sound and home audio systems, computer networking and much more! An additional deposit may be required at this time.

Appointment #3

This is the final appointment with your Design Center Consultant. During this 1-2 hour meeting, you will review and finalize remaining options and upgrades. In addition, you will be asked to sign all stage-related documents, acknowledging they are complete and accurate.

How much deposit will I need to bring to my 3rd appointment?

Your deposit requirements will be determined by the price of your new home and the types of personalized options and upgrades you select. Your lender’s commitment letter will help determine how much you can spend in options and upgrades at the Design Center. Please see your sales counselor for more information. Subject to buyer qualifications.

How can I ensure a productive and rewarding Design Center experience?

Be prepared.  Choices include many styles of carpet including easy-care Berber and sumptuous plushes, decorator ceramic tile, classic and contemporary wood flooring, hassle-free solid surface, Silestone and granite countertops and more.  Feel free to bring items with you – pillows, fabric swatches, photos from your favorite magazine – that will help you while choosing your colors.  Whether you want your kitchen to look “just like the model” or tile that will look great with that painting your grandmother gave you ... we can help!

Dress comfortably.  You will be moving around the Design Center as you select from our many materials, finishes and color options.  Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move easily.

Arrange childcare.  We love kids, and we’ve created a playroom especially for them; however, we sincerely believe making important costly decisions about your new home demands your undivided attention.  It has been our experience that our customers always find the selection process less stressful and more rewarding when they make other arrangements for their children.
